Website Launch
So I've been working on my ideal personal website for almost 2 months now. The reason it's taking so long is because I'm a perfectionist, a wanderer and a terribly fickle being who will experiment with anything I come across, half think of and glance at. I find a random idea on the web and a light bulb goes off, I think I can use/implement/add that to my site and I try it and break the site, or it turns out wrong and I spend a day or two fixing that. On and on, I kept repeating the process. So feature creep got absurd and the scope blew up.
By the time I had exactly what I wanted, I made a bloated mess that only worked on my machine, so I spent the next weeks cutting, optimizing, re-writing and changing.
Gladly it was a personal project costing me nothing, I might even argue that it will potentially make me money through the knowledge I gained, the excellent results I produced and the fun I had along the way. And let me tell you dear reader, it was deeply fun! I loved developing my own intricate design system, hoosing the colors, fonts, animations and interactions that will define my online persona.
The website work does also include this blog by the way, I just still haven't connected it properly as a subdomain. I'm still not finished, but the last 5 percent seem so minuscule in comparison. Wish me luck and check out my website! Or just click on the large portfolio button on the top right.
