Design, code & the web — written while the work is still warm

A public notebook. No editorial calendar, no takes optimised for clicks. Just things I'm genuinely thinking about — interfaces, systems, games, tools, and the stranger edges of building things on the web.

Code, design
& everything adjacent

Design system breakdowns. Front-end architecture. The occasional game essay or media tangent that I couldn't stop myself from writing. Philosophical digressions about creative work and what it means to build things carefully in an era that rewards building them fast.

Sometimes it's a tight technical note. Sometimes it spirals into something larger. I try to write what I'd actually want to read — which means no padding, no obvious observations dressed up as insight, and no post that exists just to post.

Hi. I'm Vi.

Creative Technologist — which is a slightly made-up title for someone who designs, codes, and can't quite stop at the boundary where one ends and the other begins.

I'm opinionated about colour, obsessive about type, and quietly devastated every time a good interface gets redesigned into mush. I run Linux and MacOS, collect opinions about old game consoles, and genuinely believe the web could be so much better if we all slowed down a little.

This notebook is where I think out loud. Not a brand, not a funnel — just a place where the work gets written down before I forget why it mattered.
