I Did A Thing

💌📜

I am in a creative reawakening, where I try to create something every day. Using my varied skills, I can do a lot if I try and dedicate my time to it. I learned that by doing it every day, I feel so much better with myself and I have an archive of stuff I either love, feel can be better or were just a fun experiment that led to something I don't particularly like. Either way it's a win.

Which brings me to today's thing. Not content with getting a lot of work done, spying the opportunity that it's our 4 or 7 monthaversary, depending on how you count (we can count both), I made my girlfriend an animated love letter. Well it's more of a card stack, but that sounds worse.

I have a tendency to think of what I could do, change, improve and delete when viewing my own work. I am critical of most things I see, but hyper critical of my own. That's what this blog is about, learning to work in public and sharing stuff in different stages of completion and personal satisfaction. Something I've struggled with for years. Done is better than perfect, and with my previous approach, I often reached neither.

I know that something is better than nothing and if the ideas of improving something persist, I can always do it afterwards. But I'm finally in a position (both mentally and physically) to just create an idea when it strikes my fancy and follow it to wherever it'll take me, hopefully documenting the way there and making the result available. It's good for me and hopefully good for you, dear reader.
